MEET THE CANDIDATE - Matt Retz for Guilford Town Councilman

I have been a resident of the Town of Guilford for 34 years. In that time I have raised 4 children and saw them through the local school system.  My wife and I own and operate 2 small businesses in Halmet of Mount Upton where we reside. I am running for re-election because I love this town and area and want to make it a viable option for the next generation to work and live here. I feel my business experience and willingness to jump into any project and get my hands dirty is an asset to the board. In the time that I have been in office I have helped pass laws that address the unsafe and abandoned structures in our town, and am currently working towards laws that address the sanitation issues so many upstate towns are dealing with. I am also the town representative for the Mount Upton park and have helped with maintenance and improvements. I would appreciate your support in the next election and will work hard to make our town a better place to live and work.
